TL;DR
Key takeaways
- Modelence apps can now be deployed to Canada (Central).
- A region is selected when an environment is first deployed and cannot be changed in place.
- Existing apps are unaffected, and more deployment regions are planned.
Ask AI about this post:
Modelence apps can now be deployed to Canada (Central). When you create an environment, you can choose the region where your app's compute and data run. Until now, every Modelence app ran in US West (Oregon), so this gives teams with Canadian hosting requirements a regional option.
Choose a Region When You Create an Environment
You select the region when you deploy an environment for the first time, and the app's compute and data stay in that region. The region cannot be changed in place after the first deployment, so make this choice when you create the environment.
Existing Apps Stay in Their Current Region
Nothing changes for apps that are already deployed. They will continue running in their current region unless you decide to create a new deployment elsewhere.
More Deployment Regions Are Coming
Canada (Central) is the first addition to our regional deployment options. The next regions on our roadmap are:
- US East (N. Virginia)
- Europe (Ireland and Frankfurt)
- Asia Pacific (Singapore and Sydney)
